* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, State Route 117 near Route 118 north of Rockford is water-covered and closed.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:40 AM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall slowly this afternoon, falling below flood stage later this evening. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Gerald Hobbs
Gerald E. Hobbs, 67, Decatur, Ind., died at 6:36 p.m. May 8, 2011, at his residence.
He was born Aug. 4, 1943, in Tipton County, Ind., to Lewis W. and Naomi Ruth Newton Hobbs. On Dec. 28, 1968, in Coldwawter, he married Wilma L. Carter, who survives.
Also surviving are his children, Alison S. Coons, Bluffton, Ind., Angela N. (Anthony) Dickerson, Kirklin, Ind., Timothy W. (Ellen) Hobbs, Bluffton, and Teresa J. (Don) Hess, Decatur; siblings, Herb (Ruth Ann) Hobbs, Alexandria, Ind., John (Phyllis) Hobbs, Tavaras, Fla., Lelia Douglass, Garden Grove, Iowa, and Judy (Russell) Tharp, Kirklin; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a brother, Wayne Hobbs.
He retired in December 2008 as a maintenance worker at O&R Precision, Geneva, Ind. He was a former member of Covenant Chapel, Bluffton, where he served as a deacon and helped with church maintenance. He was a current member of Cornerstone Missionary Church, Decatur.
Service is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, the Rev. Mark Beers officiating. Burial will follow at Decatur Cemetery.
Calling is 2-4 and 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
