Clotilda Muhlenkamp
Clotilda "Tillie" Muhlenkamp, 92, former McCartyville resident, died at 10:35 p.m. April 30, 2011 at Heritage Manor Nursing Center, Minster.
She was born Jan. 4, 1919, in St. Sebastian, to John and Mary Boeckman Goecke. On Jan. 18, 1939, she married Leon T. Muhlenkamp, who died Dec. 9, 2000.
Surviving are her children, Ramona Rose, Fort Loramie; Norma (Thomas) Siegel, Fort Loramie; Rebecca (James) Rethman, Fort Loramie; James (Lea) Muhlenkamp, Sidney; Mary Jane (James) Osborn, Columbus; Jerrald (Mary) Muhlenkamp, Minster; Lucy (Mark) Skinner, Waldorf, Md.; daughter-in-law, Rose Muhlenkamp, Tipp City; 27 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, William Muhlenkamp; son-in-law, Kenneth Rose; daughter-in-law, Janet Muhlenkamp; a grandson; and siblings, Ida Moeller, Emma Dorsten, Gregory Goecke, Urban Goecke, Margaret Schoch and Rita Sudhoff Schaefer.
A member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in McCartyville, she was a past president of the Ladies Sodality and had embroidered baptismal cloths for the church.
She formerly worked at the Minster Canning Factory, the Autokraft Box Factory in Minster and was a housekeeper.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. John Tonkin officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
Memorials may be made to Grand Lake Hospice or to Heritage Manor Activity Fund.
