* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Elmer Schmiesing
Elmer Schmiesing, 88, Cleina, died at 8:40 a.m. March 30, 2011, at The Gardens at Celina.
He was born Nov. 13, 1922 in Egypt to Anthony and Mathilda Hoying Schmiesing. On May 18, 1946, he married Dorothy Stachler, who survives in Celina.
Also surviving are a son, Sam (Sue) Schmiesing, Coldwater; a daughter, Shirley (Ron) Fisher, St. Marys; a brother, Donald (Joan) Schmiesing, New Bremen; a sister, Viona (Virgil) Wermert, Coldwater; two sisters-in-law, Yolanda Schmiesing, New Bremen, and Jeanette Schmiesing, Minster; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a sister, Georgiana Wendeln; brothers, Walter, Gregor and Maurice Schmiesing; a sister-in-law, Mary Ann Schmiesing; and a brother-in-law, Edward Wendeln.
A member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina and its men's society, he also was a member of Celina Knights of Columbus and Celina Eagles Lodge 1291. He was a retired farmer and was active in Mercer County Senior Citizens.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. Ken Alt officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Celina.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Monday and 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina.
