Mildred Fledderjohann
Mildred Fledderjohann, 89, formerly of New Knoxville, died at 6:11 p.m. Oct. 13, 2010, at Otterbein St. Marys.
She was born May 4, 1921, in New Knoxville, to August and Henrietta Henkener Huelsmeyer. On Sept. 1, 1942, she married Arthur Fledderjohann, who died Jan. 31, 1995.
Surviving are two daughters, Ellen (Bruce) Eschmeyer, New Knoxville, and Mary (Richard) Buchanan, Glenview, Ill.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was a 1939 graduate of New Knoxville High School and Bowling Green State University. She retired from St. Marys City Schools where she taught fifth grade for 25 years at West Elementary School before retiring in 1985. She was a member of the First United Church of Christ in New Knoxville.
Funeral rites are 10 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. David Williams officiating. Burial is at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery in New Knoxville.
Calling is 2-5 p.m. Sunday at Vornholt-Miller Funeral Home in New Knoxville.
Memorials may be made to the Radio Broadcast Fund of the church, the State of the Heart Hospice or Otterbein St. Marys Benevolent Fund.
