* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Esther Snider
Esther Evelyn Snider, 91, Mendon, died at 7:15 p.m. Oct. 2, 2010, at The Laurels of Shane Hill in Rockford.
She was born April 8, 1919, in Center Township to Clem and Lula Tigner Webb. On Dec. 15, 1942, she married Lyle Edson Snider, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, William (Caral) Snider, Mendon, and Gary (Joan) Snider, Celina; a daughter, Brenda (Eugene) Hicks, Mendon; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a grandson.
She was a homemaker and worked at the former Mendon Service Center, Dave's Market and Drake & Shaffer Auto Sales, all of Mendon, and at Tuway Products in Rockford. She also worked as a cook for the former Center Township School in Neptune. She was a member of the Mount Zion United Methodist Church in Celina and the Methodist Women's Group. She served as a pianist at the First Church of God in Mendon and at Mount Zion. She was a 1937 graduate of Center Township High School.
Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Mount Zion United Methodist Church, the Revs. Kenny Baker and Don Clinger co-officiating. Burial is at North Grove Cemetery in Celina.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Mendon and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
