Jeanne Schwab
Jeanne Emilee Betzel Schwab, 86, died Aug. 10, 2010, at her home in Huntington Beach, Calif.
She was born Jan. 11, 1924, near Chattanooga to Frederick William and Ruth Betzel. In 1946, she married Frank Schwab, who died in 1993.
Surviving is a daughter, Peggy Schwab Dawson; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a daughter, Karen Emilee.
She graduated from Rockford High School in 1941. She attended nursing school in Dayton and worked at a restaurant. She also worked at a post office and helped operate a grocery store/gas station in Germantown. She was a member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Chattanooga and the Mercer County Historical Society.
Funeral services are being held in California. Her ashes will be buried at Liberty Cemetery in Liberty Township.
