* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Waldo Burchett
Waldo W. Burchett, 82, Minster, died at 2:40 a.m. June 21, 2010, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Minster.
He was born July 17,1927, to William and AnnaBelle Longbrake Burchett. On Nov. 13, 1954, he married Norma Ann Naber, who died March 25, 2007.
Surviving are five daughters, Ann (Kerry) Sparks, Columbus, Janice (Jerry) Aselage, Fort Loramie, and Pat (Jack) Roetgerman, Mary Jo (Jeff) Monnin and Beth (John) Winner, all of Minster; two sisters-in-law, Mary Schmiesing and Wilma Naber, both of Minster; 15 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.
Deceased are four brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Vernon Naber, Wilma Heinl, Harry Heinl and Tom Schmiesing; a son-in-law, Darrell Kelbel, and an infant son.
He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Minster. He was a member of the U.S. Navy during World War II. He also was a member of the Kiwanis, the Fraternal Order of Eagles #1391, American Legion and athletic boosters, all of Minster. He worked at Minster Machine for 37 years and Shell Oil and Brinkman's Auto Service after retiring.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Rick Nieberding officiating. Burial will follow with full graveside military honors by the Minster Firing Squad at the church cemetery.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Friday and 9-9:30 a.m. Saturday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
Memorials may be made to the Heritage Manor Activity Fund or the Minster Boy Scouts.
