Betty Topp
Betty L. Topp, 80, New Bremen, died at 2:20 a.m. June 17, 2010, at Otterbein in St. Marys.
She was born May 10, 1930, in New Knoxville, to Ferdinand W. and Selma Stuckenbrock Lutterbeck. On July 9, 1949, she married Robert Topp, who died June 25, 2007.
Surviving is a son, Mark (Paula) Topp, New Bremen; sisters-in-law Janice (Lloyd) Schroer, New Bremen, and Bonnie (Orville) Heidt, New Knoxville; four grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a son, Michael Topp.
She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in New Bremen, where she played the organ for more than 18 years. She was a 1948 graduate of New Knoxville High School and attended The Ohio State University. She helped on the family farm, was a homemaker and taught piano and organ for 50 years.
Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Becky Erb Strang officiating. Burial is at the German Protestant Cemetery in New Bremen.
Calling is 2-5 p.m. Sunday at Gilberg Hartwig Funeral Home in New Bremen and 9:30 -10:30 a.m. Monday at the church.
Memorials can be made to the church fund, the New Bremen Emergency Squad or to the charity of the donor's choice.
