* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Showers and thunderstorms producing heavy rain will impact the area overnight. Rainfall totals of 1 to 3 inches are expected with locally higher amounts. The heavy rain combined with saturated ground will lead to potential flash flooding.

* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, State Route 117 near Route 118 north of Rockford is water-covered and closed.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Fern Hirschfeld
Fern L. Hirschfeld, 92, New Bremen, died at 6:30 a.m. June 13, 2010, at Otterbein in St. Marys.
She was born Feb. 8, 1918, near St. Marys to Dewey and Bertha Ehrenfort Mallory. On June 12, 1938, she married Virgil F. Hirschfeld, who died May 22, 2009.
Surviving are two sons, Lynn (Inge) Hirschfeld, Sun City Center, Fla., and Kevin (Kathryn) Hirschfeld, Bordentown, N.J.; four grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a sister, Eileen Murr.
She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in New Bremen and New Bremen Senior Citizens. She worked for The Evening Leader in St. Marys and Beatrice Foods of New Bremen and co-owned with her husband The Little Store in New Bremen. She also was a homemaker.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home in New Bremen, the Rev. Michael Westbay officiating. Burial is at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery in New Knoxville.
Calling is 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials can be made to the State of the Heart Home Health and Hospice.
