* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Robert Wendel
Robert J. Wendel, 85, 1543 Irmscher Blvd., Celina, died at 2 a.m. April 12, 2010, at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
He was born Nov. 23, 1924, in Liberty Township in Mercer County to Louis P. and Jessie Butcher Wendel. On April 25, 1980, he married Virginia Brown, who survives. His first wife, Ruth Wehner, died Jan. 24, 1998.
Also surviving are a son, Robert (Jane) Wendel, Celina, and one stepson, Lynn (Chris) Shaffer, St. Marys; one daughter, Staci Wendel (Paul Heare), Red Key, Ind.; three stepdaughters, Charlotte (Jim) Myers and Paula (Larry) Klosterman, all of Celina, and Kathy Addessi, Cleveland; a sister, Marge (Lester) Miller, St. Marys; two grandchildren, one great-grandchild, 14 step grandchildren; 14 step great-grandchildren; one step great-great-grandchild.
Deceased are abrother, James Wendel, and two sisters, Pauline Brudi and Genevieve Checka.
He worked at Wendel Motor Sales in Chattanooga and at Ohio City Manufacturing. He was a 1941 graduate of Willshire High School and was a member of the Celina Moose Lodge and the Celina Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina, the Rev. Richard Vanhorn officiating. Burial is at Riverside Cemetery in Rockford.
Calling is 3-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
