Scattered snow showers can be expected this morning along with westerly winds gusting to around 40 mph at times. Temperatures will continue to fall this morning, with readings dropping well below freezing.
Snow accumulations will be a half inch or less. This will result in some slick spots on untreated surfaces as well as bridges and overpasses. Please allow for some extra time to reach your destination this morning. Be prepared for changing road conditions as well as gusty winds.

The intersection at Fleetfoot and Fairground roads has been identified as the most dangerous site in the county for motorists, and is slated for an in-depth traffic study. A cross currently hangs on a pole in memory of Christine Moorman, who was killed at the site 10 years ago today. The county also is reviewing two other areas where serious crashes have occurred.
