Lela Snider
Lela Ilene Snider, 86, 1511 Meadowview Drive, Celina, died at 6:45 a.m. Feb. 16, 2010, at her home.
She was born Jan. 27, 1924, in Mercer County, to Ralph B. and Martha H. Cordier Monroe. On Feb. 14, 1948, she married Marvin Raymond Snider, who died Nov. 6, 1981.
Surviving are three sisters, Luetta Hill and Marjorie (Rudy) Brehm, all of Celina, and Luella Amstutz, Berne, Ind.; and four sisters-in-law, Jesselyn Monroe, Rita Snider and Annalee (Melvin) Linn, all of Celina, and Mildred (Bob) Bollenbacher, Rockford.
Deceased are two brothers, Irvin and Clifford Monroe; and five sisters, Helen Monroe, Opal Robbins, Beulah Fennig, Bernice Monroe and Ruth Powell.
She worked at the Huffy Bicycle Corp., retired from Celina Insurance Group and later was employed at the McDonald's restaurant, all in Celina. A graduate of Celina High School, she was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Celina.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Kim Miller officiating. Burial is at Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina.
Calling is 3-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
