Vincent Tangeman
Former Coldwater resident Vincent Eugene "Butch" Tangeman, 83, 5790 Denlinger Road, Apt 6108, Dayton, died Jan. 29, 2010, at Good Samaritan Hospital, Dayton.
He was born June 13, 1926, in Chicago, to Louis and Minnie Eblen Tangeman. On Nov. 18, 1946, he married Mary Kay Hein, who survives in Dayton.
Surviving are five children: Kathy (John) Dues, Brookville, Mary Lou (Dick) Langenkamp, New Bern, N.C., Jim (Tammy) Tangeman, Port Washington, N.Y., Joe Tangeman of Gahanna, and Donna (Randy) Hoying, Dayton; a sister, Rose Mary Lefeld, Coldwater; a brother, Don (Lucille) Tangeman, Coldwater; a brother-in-law, Bob Archer, Celina; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a sister, Annie Archer; a daughter-in-law, Deb Tangeman; a brother-in-law, Paul Lefeld; and three great-grandchildren.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Coldwater, the Men's Holy Name Society, the Knights of Columbus, American Legion, and Veterans of Foreign Wars, all in Coldwater.
He worked with his brother at Tangeman Cleaners in Coldwater and retired from Pax Steel Products, Coldwater.
A veteran of the U S. Navy, he served during World War II.
A Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial will follow at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater, with military rites conducted by the American Legion and V.F.W. of Coldwater.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Monday and 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
