Heading to Washington
Photo by Mark Pummell/The Daily Standard

Eric Hirschfeld of New Bremen, guest speaker at Thursday night's March for Life send-off rally at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Coldwater, glances at his daughter, Victoria. As a 3-year-old, Victoria was struck by a car and doctors did not think she would survive the night. Hirschfeld spoke about his decision to love her no matter what her disabilities might be in the future. She is now a healthy senior in high school. Three busloads of local residents left the Coldwater church following the send-off event and headed to Washington, D.C., where a rally was set for noon today - the 37th anniversary of the Supreme Court decision on Roe vs. Wade, which legalized abortion.
