Wilson Denney
Wilson E. Denney, 80, 1974 Redbud Drive, Hamilton, died at 5:22 p.m. Dec. 27, 2009, at Hospice of Hamilton.
He was born July 18, 1929, in Macedon, to William O. and Amy Runkel Denney. On April 30, 1954, he married Dorothy G. Obringer, who survives.
Other survivors are a son, David A. Denney, Hamilton; a daughter, Karen (Kevin) Hammeran, Weston, Fla.; and three grandchildren.
Deceased is a brother, William Denney.
He retired as an accountant with the Internal Revenue Service and was a member of the Ohio Society of C.P.A.'s and American Society of C.P.A's. He was involved with the Amateur Radio Club, Collectable Car Club, Morse Code Telegrapher Club, and a B & O Railroad Telegrapher. He graduated from Celina High School in 1947, and received his accounting degree from the University of Dayton. He also completed a year of graduate work at the Ohio Sate University, Columbus. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Richard Van Horn officiating. Burial is at North Grove Cemetery, Celina.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the funeral home.
Contributions can be made to Hamilton Hospice or the Cancer Association.
