* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring.
* WHERE...St. Marys River at Rockford.
* WHEN...Until this afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, State Route 117 near Route 118 north of Rockford is water-covered and closed.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:40 AM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall slowly this afternoon, falling below flood stage later this evening. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Racing against the cold

So far, Mosser construction crews are winning the race against the winter weather to have Rockford's new water treatment plant under roof. The village received a $1 million grant to fund the new facility as well as the installation of water meters throughout the village. The rest of the project will be paid for with a $1.5 million zero percent loan for 20 years.
