H1N1 vaccine arrives for high-risk population

Mercer Health - one of the local providers of seasonal flu shots - has canceled all upcoming clinics due to a shortage of the vaccine.
Shortages also are being felt at health departments in Mercer and Auglaize counties as cases of the flu - most likely the H1N1 strain (swine flu) - have become widespread locally and across the state. [More]

Fort Recovery school's board of education took the first step this week toward accepting funds from the Ohio School Facilities Commission (OSFC) for a school construction project.

Students, parent stand up for suspended teacher
ST. MARYS - Parents upset about the punishment their sons received following a display of support for a suspended teacher brought their concerns to St. Marys City Schools board of education Wednesday night.

Coldwater versus St. John's, for years, was the last game of the regular season, with many of the trips to Stadium Park in Delphos being a Saturday night affair with title and playoff scenarios in play.
It appears that the Celina football team has a slight break in the schedule during the next two weeks as the Bulldogs are still searching for their elusive first win of the season.
