Donald Wilker
Former Mercer County resident Donald S. Wilker, 64, of Clayton, died Oct. 8, 2009, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton.
He was born Aug. 21, 1945, in Celina to Raymond and Julianna Selhorst Wilker. He married the former Dorothy Bergman on July 22, 1967, and she survives.
Also surviving are seven children, Damien (Misty) Wilker, Beavercreek, Donna (John) Schoonover, Dayton, Darla (Brian) Todd of Georgia, Douglas (Denise) Wilker of Washington, Deborah (Adam) Knudsen, Englewood, Daniel (Nicole Sherman) Wilker, Union, and Diana Wilker, Clayton; four brothers, Ken (Marilyn) Wilker, St. Sebastian, Stan (Janet) Wilker, Celina, John (Debbie) Wilker of Georgia, and Greg (Linda) Wilker, Maumee; a sister, Judy (Gilbert) Knapke, Chickasaw; a mother-in-law, Velma Bergman, Maria Stein; and 12 grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, Terry Wilker, and a father-in-law, Herbert Bergman.
He was employed at Reynolds & Reynolds in Dayton for more than 42 years and was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church, the Irish Club and Marian Manor Council of the Knights of Columbus.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church with burial to follow at Arlington Cemetery, Brookville.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Kindred Funeral Home, 400 Union Blvd., Englewood. A prayer service will be held there at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.
