* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, State Route 117 near Route 118 north of Rockford is water-covered and closed.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:40 AM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall slowly this afternoon, falling below flood stage later this evening. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Harold Steele
Harold R. Steele, age 94, of Edgerton, and formerly Decatur, Ind, and Columbia, died at 3:30 a.m. Sept. 23, 2009, at Park View Nursing Center, Edgerton, where he was a resident for six years.
He was born Aug. 28, 1915, in Lima to Walter R. and Pearl M. Evans Steele. On Dec. 26, 1966, he married Virginia A. Burlew Steele, who died Jan. 9, 2000.
Surviving are six children, Virginia (Jim) Spencer, of Lima, Mildred Laudick, of Ada, Ellen (Dale) Redd, of Upper Sandusky, Pam (Paul) Wingate, Bluffton, Terry (Connie) Steele, Lebanon, Ind., and Richard (Linda) Steele, Ada.; two stepchildren, George Richardson, Edgerton, and Roger Richardson, Hillsdale, Mich.; 18 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren, six stepgreat-grandchildren and three stepgreat-great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter and son-in-law, Pearl "Susie" and Raymond Archer Sr.; two sons, Sonny and Lester Steele; a son-in-law, Paul Laudick; a sister, Ruby Joseph; a grandchild; a stepgrandchild, and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
He worked at Norwalk Truck Lines and drove buses for the city of Lima for many years. He was a member of the Columbia Church of Christ.
Graveside services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Edon Cemetery, the Rev. Nathan Derico officiating.
