Harvey Russell
Harvey W. Russell, 66, of 02664 state Route 29, Celina, died at 9:07 a.m. Sept. 4, 2009, at his residence.
He was born Feb. 23, 1943, in St. Marys to Harv and Edith Shinabery Russell, who are deceased. On June 29, 1964, he married Cherl Agler, who survives.
Other survivors are two sons, William (Dixie) Russell, St. Marys, and John (Karla) Russell, Montezuma; three daughters, Kim (Jeff) Valente, Cuyahoga Falls, Mandi (Todd) Shroyer, New Knoxville, and Veronica (Richard) Block, St. Marys; a half sister, Dorothy Rogers Schneider, Minster; a sister-in-law, Evelyn (David) Miller, St. Marys; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a stepfather, Otis Chilcoat, and a half brother, Don Rogers.
He was a senior bus driver at Mercer County Council on Aging and had worked at Beatrice Foods, New Bremen, and Agway Corporation, St. Marys. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a past president of Auglaize County Civil Defense and a member of Buckeye Emergency Team, Eagles, St. Marys, and the St. Marys Fox Hunters' Club.
Funeral rites are 10:30 a.m. Monday at Miller Funeral Home & Cremation Services, St. Marys, the Rev. Charles Richtmyer officiating. Burial with graveside military rites will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Moulton.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
