* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Claryce Hickernell
Claryce Ann Hickernell, 86, 332 Sunset Drive, Mendon, died at 8:50 a.m. Aug. 24, 2009, at The Laurels of Shane Hill, Rockford.
She was born Oct. 26, 1922, in Mendon to Sherman and Merle B. Barber Hickernell.
She was the last of her immediate family and is survived by a number of cousins.
Deceased is a brother, Neale Hickernell.
She retired from Borden Foods, Van Wert, in 1982 after 25 years. She was a member of Mendon United Methodist Church and was active with its Youth Group for many years. She attended the former Mendon-Union High School and was the historian for its alumni for many years. She was a member of the Mendon Order of the Eastern Star and the Mendon Rainbow Girls. She was involved with the Mercer County Genealogy Society.
Services are noon Thursday at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home, Mendon, the Rev. Don Clinger officiating. Burial is at Mendon Cemetery.
Calling is 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
