Carolyn Smith
Carolyn S. Smith, 71, 108 W. Center St., Fort Recovery, died at 5:13 p.m. June 18, 2009, at Lima Memorial Hospital.
She was born Dec. 5, 1937, in Fort Recovery to Charles and Hazel McLaughlin Wortz. On Nov. 17, 1979, she married James T. Smith, who died Feb. 7, 2003.
Surviving are two stepdaughters, Karen (Bob) Meiring and Diane (Fred) Reichert, all of Fort Recovery; two stepsons, James D. (Martha) Smith of Charlotte, N.C., and Eric (Eunyoung) Smith of Honolulu, Hawaii; a brother-in-law, James Bubp, Fort Recovery; and 10 stepgrandchildren.
A sister, Charlene Bubp, is deceased.
She was a graduate of Fort Recovery High School and a member of Fort Recovery United Methodist Church.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. Allan Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery, Fort Recovery.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Monday at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, and at the church after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.
