State officials push for slender Ohioans

Ohio's population is growing but not in a good way.
In a recently released study, the state was dubbed the 17th heaviest in the country - not a claim-to-fame for health officials. Celina boys and girls finish second to Defiance

Celina track coach Dan Otten was happy how his teams competed on Saturday as Celina hosted its annual Western Buckeye League mini-invitational at the Varsity Track.
Both the Runnin' Women and Bulldog Boys finished second behind defending WBL-champs Defiance, but the young Celina girls were just 15 points behind Defiance as the Blue and White won 184-169. The Celina boys fell by a 1571/2 to 135 margin thanks to two late wins by Defiance in the last two races of the day. [More]

Man dies in fiery crash
A 32-year-old Darke County man died early Saturday morning when his pickup truck traveled off state Route 49, north of the Fort Recovery village limits, and struck a large grain silo before bursting into flames.
