* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Thomas Byrne
Thomas T. "Tom" Byrne, 83, of Fort Wayne, Ind., and formerly of Delphos, died at 10:30 p.m. March 18, 2009, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
He was born Aug. 8, 1925, in Ottoville, to Joseph and Hilda Van Oss Byrne. On Aug. 11, 1945, he married Regina "Ginny" L Rayman, who died Jan. 12, 2006.
Surviving is a son, F. Joseph "Jody" (Tracey) Byrne, Brockway, Pa.; a daughter, Dianna (Mike) Ireton, Fort Wayne; a brother, Walter (Peggy) Byrne, Delphos; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two sons, Ronald Thomas and Joseph Thomas; and a grandson.
He was a 1943 graduate of Ottoville High School and was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Delphos. He was a licensed cosmetologist and welder who worked at several different companies in the area. He and his wife owned and operated beauty shops in Delphos, Van Wert, Ottoville, and Defiance, including Mr. Byrne's Wig Center.
Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Jacob Gordon officiating.
Calling is 4-7 p.m. Sunday at Harter and Schier Funeral Home, Delphos, with a wake/rosary service at 6:30 p.m. Burial is at St. John's Cemetery, Delphos.
