* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Vernon Tisdale Jr.
Vernon M. Tisdale Jr., 82, died Feb. 15, 2009, at his home in Sacramento, Calif.
He was born Sept. 6, 1926, in Bennettsville, S.C., to Vernon Sr. and Myrtle Lyles Tisdale. His wife, former Fort Recovery resident Ann Knoth, is deceased.
Surviving are a son, Mike; two brothers, Henry and Gray; two sisters, Clyda and Charlotte; and two granddaughters.
He worked as a social worker and supervisor for more than 20 years for Sacramento County. He was a member of the St. Stephen the First Martyr Catholic Church, Sacramento. He served n the U.S. Navy from 1946 to 1954 and attended the University of Arizona and the University of San Francisco, graduating with a degree in history.
Funeral Mass is at 12:15 p.m. Monday at the church.
Calling is 2-5 p.m. Sunday at Lombard & Co. Funeral Home, Sacramento, followed by the rosary.
