* WHERE...Portions of Indiana, including the following counties, Dearborn, Fayette, Franklin, Ripley, Union and Wayne and Ohio, including the following counties, Adams, Auglaize, Brown, Butler, Champaign, Clark, Clermont, Clinton, Darke, Delaware, Fairfield, Fayette, Franklin, Greene, Hamilton, Hardin, Highland, Hocking, Licking, Logan, Madison, Mercer, Miami, Montgomery, Pickaway, Pike, Preble, Ross, Scioto, Shelby, Union and Warren.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Elizabeth Berning
Former McCartyville and St. Patrick resident, Elizabeth J. "Betty" Berning, 76, died at 5:20 a.m. Jan. 31, 2009, at Fair Haven County Home, Sidney.
She was born Aug. 5, 1932, in Van Wert County, to Carl and Emma Musgrove Obringer. On Nov. 21, 1956, she married Fredrick "Fritz" Berning, who died Nov. 27, 2007.
Surviving are six children, Timothy (Shirley) and Steve (Alison), all of St. Patrick, Mark (Timri) and Douglas (Pam), all of Anna, David (Lori), Liberty Township, and Carol (Edward) Moorhead, Edgewood, Ky.; brothers and sisters, Edward Obringer, Piqua, Rose Ehret, Canton, Agnes (Paul) Weinand, College Park, Md., Patricia (Jim) McHale, Piqua, and Thomas (Jan) Obringer, Westerville; a brother in-law, Vernon Schwieterman, Lakeview; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, Carl Jr., two sisters, an infant Margaret, and Kathleen Schwieterman; a brother-in-law, Bernard Ehret; and a sister-in-law, Mary Obringer.
She was a retired cafeteria worker at Honda Engine Plant, Anna. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, McCartyville, the Ladies Sodality of the church, past president of Anna band parents and former member of the St. Patrick parish council.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Patrick Welsh officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 3-8 p.m Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Fairhaven activity fund.
