Scattered snow showers can be expected this morning along with westerly winds gusting to around 40 mph at times. Temperatures will continue to fall this morning, with readings dropping well below freezing.
Snow accumulations will be a half inch or less. This will result in some slick spots on untreated surfaces as well as bridges and overpasses. Please allow for some extra time to reach your destination this morning. Be prepared for changing road conditions as well as gusty winds.

An arctic cold front will move quickly east across the region through daybreak. This will usher in a much colder airmass with temperatures quickly falling below freezing.
Snow showers can be expected this morning with snow accumulations of a half inch or less possible. This will combine with the falling temperatures to produce slick spots on untreated roadways. In addition, brisk west winds will gust to 25 to 35 mph at times this morning.
The morning commute will be affected by these conditions. Please allow for some extra time to reach your destination. Be prepared for slick spots, especially on bridges an overpasses.

Orville Jutte
Former St. Wendelin resident Orville A. Jutte, 80, Fort Recovery, died at 7:15 a.m. Jan. 23, 2009, at Briarwood Manor Nursing Home, Coldwater.
He was born April 7, 1928, in St. Peter to Samuel and Clara Guggenbiller Jutte. On May 30, 1950, he married Elizabeth "Betty" Brunswick, who survives.
Other survivors are five sons, Orville (Peg), Tenino, Wash., and David (Vickie), Ken, Wayne (Dawn), and Don, all of Fort Recovery; a daughter, Nancy Bonifas, St. Henry; a sister, Lorene Voskuhl, St. Henry; a brother, Linus, Celina; 19 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter, Kathy; two sons, Ricky and Billy; a sister, Leona Kunkler; three brothers; Jerome, Werner and Melvin; a grandchild and a great-grandchild.
He was retired from United Parcel Service and retired owner-operator of Jutte Floral, St. Wendelin. He was a former member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church and its Holy Name Society, and a member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Mary Help of Christian Catholic Church, the Rev. Thomas Dorn officiating. Burial is at St. Wendelin Cemetery.
Calling is Thursday after the Funeral Mass in the church undercroft.
Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, made the arrangements.
