Dorothy Walls-Bishop
Dorothy Mae Walls-Bishop, 87, Celina, died Nov. 26, 2008, at her residence.
She was born Oct. 5, 1921 in Coldwater to Edward and Frances (Schmidt) Wendel. On Nov. 17, 1942, she married Vint Walls, who died Dec. 27, 1979. On Oct. 2, 1985, she married Bill Bishop, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Peggy Muhlenkamp and Pat (Steve) Hennessey, all of Coldwater; a stepson, John (Shirley) Bishop, Powell; a stepdaughter, Trudy (Ron) Gossard, Lima; two sisters, Mary Evelyn Salm, and Virginia Kraft, both of Coldwater; five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a son-in-law, Ed Muhlenkamp; and two sisters, Helen Behm and Mary Margaret Wendel.
A member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Montezuma, she was a charter member and state officer of Phi Beta Psi Sorority. She was a member of the Mercer County Elks Golf Association and was the 1939 Lake Festival Queen.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. today at the church, the Rev. James Dugal officiating. Burial is at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Calling is 2-7 p.m. Sunday and 9-10 a.m. Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Memorials may be made to the soroity for cancer research.
