Gary Frey
Gary W. Frey, 61, 1429 James Drive, Celina, died at 9:40 a.m. Oct. 24, 2008, in the emergency department at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys. Death was due to natural causes.
He was born Dec. 31, 1946, in Lima, to Woodrow and Helen Roush Frey, who are deceased. On Feb. 6, 1971, he married Connie Luedeke, who survives at the residence.
Other survivors are a son, Shane Frey, Celina; and a daughter, Holly (Bob) Meeker, Celina; a brother, Rick (Rita) Frey, Cincinnati; a sister, Kathy (Lynn) Bowen, St. Marys; two half-sisters, Janet (Don) Ake, St. Marys, and Sylvia (Jerry) Robinson, Delta; and four grandchildren.
Deceased is a brother, Frederick Bilger.
He was retired from Crown Equipment Corporation, where he had worked for more than 25 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served in the Vietnam War. He was a member of Saint Paul's United Church, St. Marys and attended St. Marys Memorial High School.
Services are 11 a.m. Monday at the Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Ed Bray. Burial with military honors is at Elm Grove Cemetery.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where the American Legion and VFW will conduct memorial services at 7 p.m.
Contributions can be made to St. Paul's United Church of Christ in St. Marys, or American Lung Association.
