* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Elsie Opperman
Elsie P. Opperman, 94, of 730 N. Spruce St., St. Marys, died Aug. 6, 2008, at her residence.
She was born Sept. 11, 1913, in St. Marys to Grover and Anne Hertenstein Sullivan. On Sept. 12, 1937, she married Norman Opperman, who died Sept. 28, 2007.
Surviving are a son, Bruce (Bonnie), Elida; two daughters, Rebecca Ballenger, St. Marys, and Joyce (Peter) Perri, Jupiter, Fla.; six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, Earl Sullivan; and two sisters, Nellie Nevergall and Lennie Montague.
She was a lifetime member of the former Evangelical United Brethren Church, which became Grace United Methodist Church, St. Marys, where she taught Sunday school, sang in the choir and was active in the Women's Guild. She was a 1930 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School.
Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Revs. Mary Kay Brown and Jim Nuhfer officiating. Burial is at Resthaven Memory Gardens, St. Marys.
Calling is 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
