* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Romania Ranly
Former Minster resident Romania F. Ranly, 85, of St. Marys, died at 12:45 a.m. May 29, 2008, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
She was born Sept. 23, 1922, in Osgood, to William and Frances Meinor Schmidt. On Sept. 12, 1942, she married Clarence J. Ranly, who died July 15, 1990.
Survivors are two sons, Herbert, Minster, and Robert (Paula), all of New Bremen; three daughters, Marilyn (William) Huecker, Coldwater, Doris (Larry) Barhorst, Russia, and Jane (Doug) Knob, Minster; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased are three brothers, Henry, Vincent and John Schmidt; and five sisters, Angeline Winhoven, Loretta Schmidt, Irene Fink, Madonna Papp and Ethel Ranly.
She was a homemaker and member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, and its St. Monica Ladies Sodality.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. Rick Nieberding officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Monday and 9-9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
