Celina native LaVern Pax is shown on Memorial Day in 1958 walking guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier prior to interment of remains from World War II and the Korean War. Pax, who spent his early years in Celina before the family moved to St. Marys, will lay wreaths during two ceremonies at the landmark Arlington National Cemetery this Memorial Day weekend.
