Two men implicated in the March 15 quadruple fatality near St. Sebastian are still involved in court proceedings. They are:
• Staush M. Homan, 22, 582 N. Eastern Ave., St. Henry. He remains incarcerated at the Mercer County Jail on a $1 million bond pending a May 28 pretrial hearing.
ST. MARYS - The local district is in line to be the first in Ohio where handheld computers will be provided for each student. Next school year a pilot program for third-, fourth- and fifth-graders will begin for a hands-on assessment of the local initiative.
The St. Henry branch of the Mercer County Emergency Medical Service will receive a new ambulance, as Mercer County commissioners recently approved the $133,645 purchase.
Eighty-one seniors at New Bremen High School will graduate at 2:30 p.m. May 25 at the New Bremen High School gymnasium.
To be honored as the top two grads will be Scott Schnelle as valedictorian and Alex Bergman as salutatorian.
Celina standout draws high praise from Otten
OTTAWA - After the Western Buckeye League Track Meet ended on Friday, Dan Otten said that Julie Snyder was "probably the best overall athlete we've had at Celina."
The crowd at Titan Stadium, no matter their school affiliation, would probably agree.
COLDWATER - A pair of six-run innings vaulted the Coldwater and Parkway baseball teams to Division III sectional titles at Veterans Field on Friday.
