Nedra Schmidt
Nedra Mae Schmidt, 78, 171 Bryn Mawr #209, Ravenna, died at 1 a.m. May 4, 2008, at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
She was born Aug. 16, 1929, in Toronto to Oliver and Nora White Maffett. She married Clyde Schmidt, who died in 1984.
Surviving are a daughter, Beth A. (Jay) Gariety, Celina; and four grandsons.
Deceased are daughter, Dawn L. Hamilton; a brother, Jack Maffett; three sisters, her twin, Norma Kidder, Cleophus "Tope" Carpenter and Carole Virden.
She was a homemaker and attended the First Christian Church in Ravenna. She was a member of the Dandelions Club, the Ravenna Garden Club and the Ravenna Community Choir.
A gathering of friends will be 4-6 p.m. Friday at Shorts Funeral Home, Ravenna. Burial is at Maple Grove Cemetery, Ravenna.
Arrangements are being handled by W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home, Celina.
