Betty Schindler
Betty L. Schindler, 83, formerly of 7262 state Route 197, Celina, died at 5 a.m. April 6, 2008, at the Gardens of Celina.
She was born March 26, 1925, to Lucille Turner Smith in Jay County, Ind. On March 9, 1946 she married Marion Schindler, who died March 29, 2004.
Survivors are a son Ted (Elizabeth) Schindler, Columbus; a daughter, Brenda Webb, Fort Wayne, Ind.; a sister, Ruth Wise of Colorado; and two grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Scott, a daughter, Wendy Jo; two brothers, James and Damon Smith; two sisters, Eleanor Smith and Mary Jane Staton; a brother-in-law Kenneth Staton; and a sister-in-law Mary Smith.
She was a charter member of the Grace Missionary Church, Celina and a member of Celina Senior Citizens.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday, at the church, the Rev. Michael Spencer officiating. Burial is at North Grove Cemetery, Celina.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina and Thursday one hour prior to service at the church.
Contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Northwest Ohio.
