Lois Browning
Lois B. Browning, 84, a former resident of Otterbein-St. Marys Retirement Community, died at 8:05 a.m. March 18, 2008, at St. Marys Memorial Home in Cincinnati.
She was born March 5, 1924, in Jackson County, Ky., to John and Bertha Gabbard Burch. On May 10, 1947, she married Leonard Browning, who survives at Otterbein-St. Marys.
Other survivors are two daughters, Sister Lynn Julian, Cincinnati, and Wanda (Daryl) Dammeyer, New Bremen; two brothers Elza Burch, Lexington, Ky., and Leroy (Jo) Burch, Rutherfordton, N.C.; and a granddaughter.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Faith Alliance Church in New Bremen. She graduated from Nicholasville High School and attended Eastern College, both in Kentucky.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Monday in the chapel at St. Marys Memorial Home. Private burial rites were held today at the Blue Grass Memorial Gardens, Lexington, Ky., the Rev. Dean Greenwood officiating.
