* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Michael Altenbach
Michael E. "Mike" Altenbach, 58, of Mendon, died Feb. 3, 2008, at his residence. Death was due to pancreatic cancer.
He was born April 25, 1949, in Lima, to Edwin and Dorothy Funni Altenbach. His father is deceased and his mother survives in Lima. On Feb. 3, 1973, he married Connie Williams, who survives.
Other survivors are three sons, Scott (Sherrie) Altenbach and Adam Heck, all of Mendon, and Matthew Altenbach, Chester, Va.; two brothers John (Deb) and Paul (Cathy), all of Lima; three sisters, Sandy, Lebanon, Va., and Nancy (Larry) Wagner and Patty (Fred) Zupka, all of Lima; a grandson and a granddaughter.
He retired in December 2006 from Common Cents Mortgage and was co-owner of Auto World Inc., both of Celina, and worked for 15 years at The Budd Company in Van Wert.
Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Mendon United Methodist Church, the Rev. Chuck Eagle officiating. Burial is at Mendon Cemetery.
Calling is 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home, Mendon, and 9:45-10:45 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Contributions can be made to the Cancer Association of Mercer County, Celina Area Visiting Nurses & Hospice or the Mendon Fire Department.
