Esther Vogel
Former St. Marys resident Esther Vogel, 85, died Dec. 19, 2007, at Morningside Assisted Living, Charlottesville, Va.
She was born June 20, 1922, in the Moulton area, Auglaize County, to Lewis and Sarah Buddemeyer Wibbeler. In 1941, she married Eugene Vogel, who died in 1972.
Surviving are two daughters, Karen (Steve) Vornholt, Harris, Mo., and Connie (Gary) Hegemier, Earlysville, Va.; a brother-in-law, Bernard Kruse, St. Marys; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter, Tami; three brothers, Leroy, Henry and Walter Wibbeler; and three sisters, Selma Settlage, Emma Arnett and Ruth Kruse.
She worked at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., St. Marys, and First Systems and Resources of Virginia. She was a former member of Zion Lutheran Church, St. Marys.
Services are 2 p.m. Sunday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys. Burial is at Resthaven Memory Gardens near St. Marys.
Calling is 6-8 p.m. Saturday and noon-2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
