* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Showers and thunderstorms producing heavy rain will impact the area overnight. Rainfall totals of 1 to 3 inches are expected with locally higher amounts. The heavy rain combined with saturated ground will lead to potential flash flooding.

* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, State Route 117 near Route 118 north of Rockford is water-covered and closed.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Eugene Gelhaus
Eugene E. Gelhaus, 78, 3114 McFeeley-Petry Road, Rossburg, died Nov. 23, 2007, at his home.
He was born May 26, 1929, in New Weston, to Aloys and Lidwina Mestamaker Gelhaus. On Oct. 8, 1955, he married Luedna B. Mescher, who survives.
Other survivors are three son, Dan (Catherine), New Weston, Dale (Trish), Union City, Ind., and Michael (Brooke), Woodstock, Conn.; a daughter, Peggy (David) Becker, Vandalia; a sister, Eva (Ron) Ruchty, North Star; a brother-in-law, Richard Muhlenkamp, Greenville; and 13 grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Anthony, a brother, Harold; and a sister, Vera Muhlenkamp.
He retired from the former Avco New Idea plant in Coldwater, and was a retired farmer. A 1948 graduate of St. Henry High School, he was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of American Legion Post 345 and Knights of Columbus Council 3324, both of Fort Recovery. He also was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Sharpsburg.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. Charles Mullen officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. today and 9-9:45 a.m. Tuesday at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, where a prayer service will be conducted by the K of C at 7:50 p.m. today.
Contributions can be made to the Center for Neurological Development, Burkettsville.
