Ruth Howell
Ruth Ellen Howell, 90, 1001 Myers Road, Celina, died Oct. 16, 2007, at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
She was born July 17, 1916, in Mercer County, to Wilbert Urva and Bessie Ester Beougher Conner. On July 24, 1938, she married Denzel P. Howell, who died Oct. 22, 1984.
Surviving are a son, Denny (Jeanine), Springfield; a daughter, Paula (Greg) Byers, Celina; a sister, Gertrude Smelser, Celina; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Deceased is an infant child.
She was a seamstress. She also was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, Celina, the Mercer County Genealogy Society, the Ohio Genealogical Society, the Daughters of the Revolution, Ohio First Families and the Daughters of Union Veterans.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. James Richter officiating. Burial is at Swamp College Cemetery.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, and after 9:30 a.m. Friday at the church.
Contributions can be made to State of the Heart Home Health and Hospice and the church.
