Leah Hoffman

Leah G. Hoffman, 73, of Lima, died at 9:12 p.m. Oct. 5, 2007, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.

She was born April 3, 1934, in Lima, to Omer and Caroline Axe Hendricks. Her first husband, Carl Prine, is deceased. Her second husband, Frederick Louis Hoffman, also is deceased.

Survivors are three sons, David (Mary Beth Moore) Prine, Celina, Joe (Jenny) Prine, Lima, and Jeff (Shanna Armentrout) Hoffman, Celina; six daughters, Vickie (John Klett) Martinez, Lima, Christina Williams, Celina, Cynthia Steiner, Lima, Laurie (Leandro Martinez) Prine, Lima, Jennifer (Zach Williams) Hoffman, Dublin, and Betsy (Rosario) Soria, Lima; two brothers, William "Bill" Hendricks, Lansing, Ill., and Carl Hendricks, Lima; a sister-in-law, Marlene Hendricks, Lima; 21 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Deceased is a brother, Robert Hendricks.

She was a homemaker and earlier worked as a telephone operator. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church, Lima.

Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Bill Rose officiating. Burial is at Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima.

Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home, Lima, where a wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
