Blanche Grillot
Blanche A. Grillot, 89, formerly of state Route 197, Celina, died Sept. 30, 2007, at Briarwood Manor Nursing Home, Coldwater.
She was born July 30, 1918, in Coldwater, to John and Grace Howick Holtman, On Feb. 25, 1935, she married Adrian C. Grillot, who died Nov. 28, 1993.
Survivors are two sons, Adrian Jr. (Janet), New Bremen, and David (Sue), Lima; seven daughters, Betty (Robert) Pleiman, Coldwater, Alice (Paul) Huelsman, Chickasaw, Rose (Cletus) Magoto, New Knoxville, Dorothy (Daniel) Davidson, Sidney, Ruth Rentz, New Bremen, Mary (Robert) Morrow, Urbana, and Barbara (James) Botkin, of Ireland; a brother, Raymond (Julie) Holtman, Cleveland; a brother-in-law, Marian (Emily), Russia; four sisters-in-law, Mildred Holtman and Myrt Holtman, both of Celina, Gertrude Glaser, Kettering, and Evelyn, New Bremen; 29 grandchildren, 70 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a son, Vernon; a son-in-law, Harold Rentz; three brothers, Jerome, Tom and George Holtman; six sisters, Mildred Bader, Catherine Webb, Mary Hardison, Lucille Wenning, Gertrude Backs and Rita Houts; a grandchild and two great-grandchildren.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and its Altar Sodality, St. Vincent DePaul, Fraternal Order of Moose Lodge and American Legion Auxiliary Post 210, all of Celina, and a former member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Newport.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Celina church, the Rev. Richard Riedel officiating. Graveside services are at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Newport church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Thursday and after 9:30 a.m. Friday at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina.
