* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, State Route 117 near Route 118 north of Rockford is water-covered and closed.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:40 AM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall slowly this afternoon, falling below flood stage later this evening. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

The first race at the New Bremen Speedway, which is being torn down, was scheduled for the farmers' picnic on Aug. 14, 1926, but thunderstorms rained it out. So, the first race was actually run a week later on Aug. 21. Admission was 75 cents.
