Charges of providing a place for underage people to drink against a Celina couple were dismissed in Celina Municipal Court this week.
Dropped were the charges against Randy LaRue, 44, and his wife, Tammy LaRue, 41, who were handcuffed and taken to the police department on June 9 after allegedly hosting a party where underage people were drinking. [More]

COLDWATER - Stopping St. Henry on its opening drive of the game provided the only suspenseful moment of the 2007 rendition of The Backyard Battle.
Coldwater shut down St. Henry for the rest of the game and improved to 4-1 in a 42-0 shutout of the Redskins at Cavalier Stadium, extending the Cavs' win streak against the Redskins to 11 games. St. Henry drops to 3-2 with the loss. [More]

St. Marys' attempt to capture the Western Buckeye League boy's golf title came up short after a solid day at the league golf tournament held at The Fox's Den in Celina.
Going into the tournament, St. Marys was 11/2 points behind Van Wert for first place in the league and needed to win the tournament to make a challenge for the overall title. [More]
