Celina used an quick offensive burst in the first half to take control over Shawnee early, then coasted the rest of the way to take a 3-1 win over the Indians at the Celina Soccer Stadium in Western Buckeye League girls soccer action on Thursday.
The win moves the Bulldogs to 4-2-1 overall and 3-0 in the WBL. The win was made more satisfying when Ottawa-Glandorf defeated Elida 4-0 to leave Celina as the lone unbeaten in WBL. [More]

ROCKFORD - It's not uncommon for a team to have a letdown immediately following a big win, and it appears that's what happened to the Marion Local Flyers Thursday night against the Parkway Panthers.
It was a matchup of unbeaten teams in the Western Buckeye League on Thursday night at the Intermediate Building when Van Wert visited Celina.  
The match didn't feature championship caliber play by either team, but Celina was good enough to roll past Van Wert in three games, 25-17, 25-18 and 25-23.
