Dorothy Beckman
Dorothy M. Beckman, 79, 7 Melcher St., Minster, died at 7:50 a.m. Friday, Aug. 3, 2007, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
She was born June 8, 1928, in Maria Stein, to Edward and Olivia Brunswick Bergman. On Oct. 25, 1947, she married Henry R. Beckman who died Sept. 25, 2000.
Surviving are three sons, Tony (Sue) of Minster, Jim (Vicki) of St. Marys, and Mike (Diana) of Atlanta; a son-in-law, Roger Knost, Dallas; three sisters, Joan Eilerman and Ruth Barhorst, both of Fort Loramie, and Patricia (James) Winner, Minster; a sister-in-law, Betty Bergman Phlipot (Ernie); and seven grandchildren.
Deceased are two daughters, Linda Knost and infant Karen Beckman; two brothers, Henry and Walter Bergman; a sister, Mary Evelyn Schwegman; and two brothers-in-law, Don Eilerman and John Barhorst.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1391 and the American Legion Auxiliary, all of Minster.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. Rick Nieberding officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Monday and 9-9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
