* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:40 AM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall slowly this afternoon, falling below flood stage later this evening. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Several great blue heron perch atop the spillway along West Bank Road as the sun creates a colorful cast at dawn on Grand Lake. High temperatures today and Saturday will be in the upper 80s with sunny skies both days, according to local weather forecaster Dennis Howick. Highs in the 90s are expected on Sunday with a chance of rain in the forecast for next week.
