Billie Webster Luke
Billie Glee Webster Luke, 77, formerly of Kankakee, Ill., died June 22, 2007, at Provena United Samaritan Medical Center, Danville, Ill.
She was born Dec. 6, 1929, in Celina, to Olen and Lura Wheeler Chivington. She was first married to Robert Hanson, who survives in Kankakee. She later was married to Tom Webster, who died in 1991, and Fred Luke, who died in 2005.
Surviving are a son, Gregg (Susan) Hanson, Burke, Va.; four stepsons, Steven (Linda) Luke and BJ (Holly) Luke, all of Danville, Ill., Matthew, Chicago, Ill., and Ned (Amy) Luke, LaQuinta, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Margaret Luke, New Haven, Conn.; a brother, Patrick (Diane) Chivington, Lakewood; two sisters, Joy Linton and Eileen Reasner, both of Celina; a brother-in-law, Chet Meyering, Colorado Springs, Colo.; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and seven stepgrandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Robin Hanson; and a sister, Betty Meyering.
She retired as an elementary teacher from Kankakee School District and also taught in Bonfield. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, the Women's Club, County Club and Emblem Club, all of Kankakee.
Services are 1 p.m. Wednesday at Schreffler Funeral Home, Kankakee, the Rev. Edward Heck officiating. Burial is at Kankakee Memorial Gardens.
Calling is 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the funeral home.
