Kathryn Ross
Kathryn Hannah Ross, 92, of Ohio City, died 11:45 p.m. June 21, 2007, at the Laurels of Shane Hill Nursing Home in Rockford.
She was born Oct. 28, 1914, in Van Wert County, to Edward and Myrtle Chapman Hirn. On Feb. 18, 1933, she married Paul Tingley Ross, who died December 24, 1992.
Surviving are a son, Louis, Ohio City; a daughter, Phyllis (Jerry) Now, Rockford; a sister, Alice Burnett, Celina; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased are six brothers, Clarence, Philip, John, Carl, Earl and Ernest Hirn; and two sisters, Edna Goodenow and Helen Bradford.
She was retired from Federal Mogul in Van Wert, a member of Ohio City United Methodist Church and a member of the Celina Chapter Order of Eastern Star.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, the Rev. Michael Waldron officiating. Burial is at Tomlinson Cemetery, Union Township, Mercer County.
Calling is 2-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
