New Bremen race car driver Drew Charlson is in the midst of what may be his final United States Auto Club (USAC) midget racing series this summer.

LIMA - After a pair of easy wins in exhibition play, the 2007 Grand Lake Mariners tasted defeat for the first time, 3-2, in the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League opener at Shawnee High School in Lima.

ROCKFORD - Village Council's finance committee made no recommendations after meeting Friday afternoon to evaluate village Tax Administrator Herb Muhlenkamp and his recent performance.
Two Allen County men face felony charges after being apprehended while in the process of stealing approximately $7,000 worth of electrical wiring from a Celina business.       Authorities continue to investigate whether the pair may be involved in similar thefts in Sidney, Lima and Coldwater.
